Ustad Allahbux
Allahbux was the court painter for the Maharaja of Patiala before moving to Lahore in 1939. Until partition, he was a popular artist among the Hidu community in Lahore. for his romanticisized paintings of Lord Krishna. Soon after, Allahbux's attention then turned towards the punjab's country side, painting scenes of the villages and the people in an idealist, yet realist manner.
